Words by the Water

Workshop: Kelly Davis: Poetry is a house of many rooms

Sun 16 March | 2:30pm - 5pm

Houses are linked to family history and they evoke strong memories and emotions and offer rich material for poetry. This workshop, suitable for beginners and experienced poets alike, will inspire you to look back at different dwelling places, consider them as backdrops for human interaction, and build new poems from the ground up.

Kelly Davis lives in West Cumbria, works as an editor, and leads the North Cumbria Stanza group. Her poems have been widely published in magazines and anthologies. She collaborated with Kerry Darbishire on their joint pamphlet Glory Days and her solo collection The Lost Art of Ironing was published in 2024.
