Hot on the heels of the Theatre by the Lake’s 25th year, Keswick Film Festival returns in 2025 with its own Silver Anniversary.

Taking place at Keswick’s historic Alhambra Cinema, The Theatre by the Lake and at nearby Rheged, the Festival will bring the best of world and independent cinema to the town. With a choice of over 25 films including new releases, anniversary screenings, special guests and a short film competition showcasing some inspiring new film-making talent, Keswick Film Festival promises to be an outstanding weekend of cinema.

Weekend passes and individual tickets go on sale from the Alhambra Cinema (keswickalhambra.co.uk) in the New Year, with special rates for students and young people.

What are the Ospreys?
Each year at the festival we celebrate local film making by showing a selection of short films. A panel of judges select the very best of these films and reward the talented film makers the prestigious Osprey awards. At the screening the audience also vote for their favourite film to win the Audience Award. Find out more HERE.
