Words by the Water Festival of Words and Ideas is returning to Theatre by the Lake in Keswick in Spring 2025.

The full programme for the festival will be available early 2025 and promises to be a celebration of local talent and also some famous names for a glittering line-up of authors. The Words by the Water Festival is also hosting a number of practical writing workshops through the week and competitions for young Cumbrian writers.

The programme includes Cumbrian farmer and author James Rebanks, celebrated crime writer Anne Cleeves and former Strictly Come Dancing competitor Rev Richard Coles, all discussing their new books.
